The Amber 3m Replacement Floor Sensor is the correct spare part for restoring accurate floor temperature monitoring to any Amber or DEVI underfloor heating thermostat. If your thermostat is displaying incorrect temperature readings, fluctuating readings, or an error code indicating a sensor fault, replacing the floor sensor probe is usually all that is needed to return the system to full performance — without replacing the thermostat itself.
⚠️ Sensor replacement should be carried out by a qualified electrician. Any work on the thermostat wiring must be carried out by a Part P registered electrician in accordance with BS 7671.

How do I know if my floor sensor has failed?
Common signs include: the thermostat displaying an error code (often ‘E0’, ‘E1’, or similar), the floor temperature reading appearing significantly higher or lower than expected, or the heating not switching on or off at the correct temperature. Call us on 01603 381095 if you are unsure.
Is 3m long enough for my installation?
In most standard bathroom and room installations, 3m is sufficient. The sensor probe should be positioned approximately 300–500mm from the wall, between two cable runs. If your thermostat is positioned further from the heated area, call us on 01603 381095 to discuss options.
Can I replace the floor sensor without lifting the floor?
In most installations, the floor sensor probe is installed in a conduit tube beneath the floor covering, which allows the probe to be withdrawn and replaced without lifting tiles. If the sensor was not installed in a conduit, the floor covering will need to be lifted.
