Both fit a standard UK 86 × 86mm back box, include a floor sensor probe, and are backed by a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. Available in Black or White (DT-two+ only).
⚠️ Electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Thermostat wiring must be completed by a Part P registered electrician in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations). Not suitable for wet (hydronic) underfloor heating systems.

Both thermostats offer 7-day, 6-period programmable control, frost protection, and include a floor sensor. The key difference is connectivity. The DT1 (£63) is a standalone digital thermostat — controlled directly on the unit. The DT-two+ (£114–£115) adds Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to control your heating remotely via a smartphone app and use voice commands through Alexa or Google Home. If you want smart home integration or remote control, choose the DT-two+. If you want reliable programmable control without the smart features, the DT1 is the better value choice.
Which Amber thermostat is compatible with my heating mat?
Both the DT1 and DT-two+ are compatible with the full range of Amber electric underfloor heating mats and cables, including the 150W Concrete Floor Mat and the 100W Timber Floor Mat. Is the floor sensor included?
Yes — a floor sensor probe is included with all Amber thermostat models. The floor sensor is installed beneath the floor covering during the heating mat installation and monitors the floor surface temperature directly, allowing the thermostat to switch the heating on and off to maintain the set floor temperature.
