Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate the BTU output I need?
BTU (British Thermal Unit) is the measure of heat output. To calculate the required BTU for a room, multiply the room's length, width, and height (in feet) and then multiply by a factor based on insulation and window type. As a rough guide, a well-insulated 12x10ft room typically needs around 1,500–2,000 BTU. If in doubt, contact us on 01603 381095 for advice.
What is a dual fuel radiator?
A dual fuel radiator can be connected to your central heating system and also has an electric element fitted, allowing it to operate independently of the boiler. This is ideal for bathrooms or spare rooms where you want heat without running the whole central heating system.
What are connection centres?
Connection centres refer to the distance between the two pipe connections (flow and return) on the radiator. This must match the spacing of your existing pipework. Standard connection centres are typically 50mm apart, but always check the product specification before ordering.
Can I order if the item shows as out of stock?
Yes — most of our radiators can be ordered even when showing as out of stock, and we'll fulfil your order as soon as stock is available. If you need a specific delivery timeframe, please contact us at customerservice@bubblegumbathrooms.co.uk before ordering.
