The Amber 100W/m² Electric Underfloor Heating Mat is engineered specifically for timber floor constructions, delivering gentle, consistent radiant warmth underfoot without compromising your flooring. At 100W per square metre, it provides the correct heat output for timber subfloors — lower than the 150W concrete mat to respect the maximum temperature tolerance of timber and engineered wood floor coverings. EU-certified manufacturing and a market-leading warranty give complete confidence from installation through to daily use. Available in 14 sizes from 1.0m² to 12.0m², all 500mm wide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why 100W/m² for timber floors?
Timber and engineered wood floor coverings have a lower maximum temperature tolerance than tile or stone — typically around 27°C floor surface temperature. A 100W/m² output is calibrated to deliver comfortable warmth without risking damage to the floor covering. For concrete and solid subfloors, the Amber 150W mat is the correct choice.
Can the mat be cut to fit?
The mesh can be cut to allow the mat to turn corners or navigate around obstacles. The cable must never be cut — cutting the cable will damage the heating element and void the warranty.
Do I need a thermostat?
Yes — a thermostat is required to control the heating mat. See the Amber DT1 or DT-two+ Smart Thermostat.
