The Riga Motion is a premium 7W IP65 fire rated LED downlight with a built-in PIR motion sensor — perfect for bathrooms, hallways, landings, and utility rooms where hands-free convenience matters. Motion is detected within a 6-metre radius and the light switches on instantly, then turns itself off automatically once the space is clear.
What sets the Riga Motion apart is its switchable colour temperature: choose between 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, or 6000K using the integrated switch on the fitting, so you can dial in the perfect ambience for any room. It's also fully dimmable from most standard wall dimmers, and with a CRI of >90 and output equivalent to a 50W GU10 halogen, the light quality is exceptional — using 85% less energy.
Available with a white, chrome, or black bezel to suit your interior. Replacement and additional bezels are available separately.

Which bathroom zones is the Riga Motion suitable for?
With an IP65 rating, the Riga Motion is suitable for use in bathroom Zone 1 (directly above the bath or shower) and Zone 2. Always consult a qualified electrician to confirm zone suitability for your specific installation.
How do I change the colour temperature?
The colour temperature is switched using the integrated selector on the fitting itself — choose between 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), 4000K (cool white), or 6000K (daylight) before or during installation.
Can I override the PIR and keep the light on continuously?
Yes — double-pressing the wall switch will hold the light on for 8 hours. After 8 hours, the fitting automatically reverts to PIR motion-sensor mode.
Is it compatible with my existing dimmer switch?
The Riga Motion is compatible with most standard trailing-edge (LED) wall dimmers. We recommend checking your dimmer manufacturer's LED compatibility list. If in doubt, contact us at customerservice@bubblegumbathrooms.co.uk.
Does it need a separate LED driver?
No — the Riga Motion has a built-in power converter, so no separate driver is required. It wires directly to your mains supply.
Is it safe to install with loft insulation above?
Yes — the Riga Motion is IC rated, meaning loft insulation can be run continuously over the back of the fitting without any risk of overheating.
