Description
The workhorse of the isolation valve world. The KeyPlumb 15mm Full Bore Isolation Valve is the valve you fit and forget — tucked neatly behind a basin, under a sink, or inline on a supply pipe, ready to do its job when you need it. A screwdriver slot keeps it tamper-resistant and compact in tight spaces, while the full bore design ensures zero flow restriction when open. Chrome-plated brass construction, WRAS approval, and EN1254-2 compression fittings on both ends make this a specification-grade valve at a trade-friendly price. Available in packs of 1, 5, or 10.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a full bore and standard bore isolation valve?
A full bore valve maintains the same internal diameter as the connected pipework (15mm), so there is no restriction to flow when the valve is open. A standard bore valve has a reduced internal diameter which can restrict flow and cause a pressure drop. For applications where flow rate matters — showers, baths, washing machines — always choose full bore.
Can I order if the item shows as out of stock?
Yes — we can fulfil this product even when stock shows as zero. Place your order as normal and we’ll confirm lead time with you.
How do I operate a screwdriver slot isolation valve?
Use a standard flathead screwdriver. When the slot is parallel to the pipe, the valve is open. When the slot is perpendicular (across) the pipe, the valve is closed. It’s a quarter-turn (90°) operation.
Is this valve suitable for heating systems?
Yes — the 95°C maximum temperature rating makes this valve suitable for heating system pipework, including radiator isolation and boiler connections, within standard domestic operating temperatures.
Does this work with plastic pipe as well as copper?
This valve uses EN1254-2 compression fittings, compatible with 15mm copper pipe. For plastic pipe, use the appropriate insert/liner within the compression fitting to prevent the olive from crushing the pipe wall.
Why buy a pack of 10?
The pack of 10 offers the best per-unit price at £2.90 per valve versus £3.50 individually — a saving of 17% per valve. Ideal for trade use, full property fits, or keeping a stock of spares on the van.
