6000K is cool white — a crisp, bright, slightly blue-white tone similar to daylight. It is ideal for task lighting in bathrooms, grooming, and applying makeup where accurate colour rendering matters. It is not a warm or ambient tone — if you prefer a warmer light, consider the Astral Twist (3000K warm white) instead.
What bathroom zones is this suitable for?
The IP44 rating makes this fitting suitable for bathroom zone 2 (areas within 0.6m of a bath or shower, or above basins) without additional requirements. It is also suitable for zone 1 (directly above baths and showers) when protected by a 30mA RCD. Not suitable for zone 0.
Is it dimmable?
No — the Axis is non-dimmable. It operates at full brightness (640lm) when switched on.
How wide is the light spread?
