What size mat do I need for my room?
As a general guide, measure the usable floor area of your room (excluding fixed furniture such as vanity units, toilets, and bath) and select the nearest mat size. For example, a 2.5m² usable area would suit the 2m² or 3m² mat depending on your preferred coverage. Should I use insulation board beneath the mat?
We strongly recommend installing the Aqua Elegance 6mm Tile Backer Insulation Board beneath the heating mat. This directs heat upwards into the room rather than downwards into the subfloor, improving heat-up times and reducing running costs by up to 25%.
Is this mat suitable for use under wood or laminate flooring?

Can the heating cable be cut to size?
No — the heating cable must never be cut. The mat must be used at its full length. If the mat is too large for your space, consider the Loose-Lay Heating Cable, which can be spaced to suit irregular or smaller floor areas.
