The AA10 uses a hydraulic bypass mechanism to break the syphon and allow the trap to reseal automatically, without needing a separate anti-syphon valve or vent pipe.
Do I need secondary ventilation with this trap?
No — the self-ventilating design of the AA10 eliminates the need for secondary ventilation in most domestic installations. This makes it particularly useful in situations where running a vent pipe is impractical or impossible.
