The McAlpine AA10 is a self-ventilating resealing bottle trap — designed for basin and sink installations where secondary ventilation isn't practical. When syphonic conditions occur, the automatic hydraulic action draws air through the bypass columns to break the syphon; once conditions normalise, remaining water falls back to reseal the trap. No mechanical parts, no secondary vent pipe required.
