Do these panels really need no trims?
Yes — the Elite system is genuinely trim-free. The patented tongue and groove joints interlock panels seamlessly, and the post-formed edges are pre-finished during manufacture, so no edge trims are required. This gives a cleaner, more modern finish than traditional panel systems.
Which sealant do I need?
You must use Wetwall Complete Sealant — this is mandatory for the manufacturer’s warranty to remain valid. It is available in 14 colours to match your panel finish. Using a different sealant will void the warranty.
What is the difference between Tongue & Groove and Postformed panels?
Tongue & Groove panels interlock with adjacent panels for a seamless mid-wall join. Postformed panels have a pre-finished curved edge on one or both sides — used at the end of a run or as a feature panel where a clean, trim-free edge is needed without an adjacent panel to join to.
How do I choose the right panel type for my installation?
For most installations: use Tongue & Groove panels for the main wall area, Postformed & Tongue panels where the run ends at a wall or open edge, and Finishing Panels (160mm) for narrow returns or reveals. Are these panels suitable for shower enclosures?
Yes — Wetwall Elite panels are 100% waterproof and specifically designed for wet bathroom environments including shower enclosures, bath surrounds, and wetrooms.
How do these compare to tiles?
Elite panels install significantly faster than tiles — no adhesive drying time, no grouting, no waiting. The seamless surface is also much easier to clean (no grout lines to scrub) and the trim-free finish gives a more contemporary look. The trade-off is that individual panels cannot be replaced as easily as individual tiles if damaged.
