The PowerTech Ascend requires a 95mm diameter cut-out in your worktop. This is a standard size compatible with most worktop installation kits.
Does it need a qualified electrician to install?
Yes. As with all mains-wired electrical products, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with Part P of the Building Regulations.
Is the USB-C port suitable for charging laptops?
Yes — the USB-C port delivers 30W with Power Delivery, which is sufficient to charge most USB-C laptops, tablets, and smartphones at full speed.
Is the Qi wireless charger compatible with my phone?
The Ascend features a 15W Qi-certified wireless charging pad built into the lid, compatible with all Qi-enabled devices including iPhone (MagSafe-compatible cases may vary) and Android smartphones.
What is the IP54 rating?
IP54 means the unit is protected against dust ingress and splash water from any direction — making it suitable for kitchen worktops. Note: the IP54 rating applies when the unit is in the closed/retracted position.
