What makes the Cyclone suitable for wet rooms?
The HIB Cyclone’s 210m³/hr extraction rate is significantly higher than standard bathroom fans, making it capable of handling the heavy moisture load generated in wet rooms and large open-plan shower spaces. Its inline installation also means the motor is protected from direct steam exposure.
How does the timer work?
The Cyclone’s run-on timer is adjustable between 2 and 30 minutes. Once the bathroom light is switched off, the fan continues to run for the set period, ensuring all residual moisture is extracted before the fan stops.
Where is the motor installed?
The motor unit is installed in the loft space or ceiling void, connected to the bathroom via 100mm ducting. Only the slim flush-mounted fascia grille is visible in the ceiling — giving a clean, unobtrusive finish.
What ducting size does it use?
The HIB Cyclone uses 100mm (10cm) diameter ducting. 3 metres of flexible ducting is included in the kit. For longer runs, additional compatible 100mm ducting can be purchased separately.
What’s the difference between the Cyclone and the Turbo?
Both are inline fans with complete kits included. The HIB Turbo delivers 137m³/hr and is ideal for standard to large bathrooms. The Cyclone delivers 210m³/hr and is designed specifically for wet rooms and larger spaces with higher moisture loads.
