⚠️ Electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Electric showers require a dedicated circuit and must be installed in accordance with Part P of the Building Regulations and IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). A 45A double-pole isolator switch is required.

What is the difference between 8.5kW and 9.5kW?
Both units are the same Aqualisa E1 shower in white — the only difference is the power rating. A higher wattage heats the water more quickly, which means a stronger flow rate at the same temperature setting, or the ability to achieve a comfortable temperature when the incoming mains water is cold (typically in winter). The 9.5kW is recommended if flow rate is a priority or if your mains water supply is particularly cold. The 8.5kW is suitable for most standard installations. Note that a higher wattage requires a higher-rated circuit — confirm with your electrician before ordering.
Does an electric shower need a special electrical circuit?
Yes — electric showers require a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit (fuse box), protected by an appropriate MCB (typically 40A for 8.5kW or 45A for 9.5kW). A 45A double-pole isolator switch must be installed outside the bathroom zone.
