What is the difference between the iCON 30 and iCON 15?
The iCON 30 has a larger 150mm spigot and higher airflow output, making it better suited to larger rooms or installations requiring greater extraction capacity. The iCON 15 is a 100mm fan suited to standard bathrooms and en-suites.
Can this fan be surface or recessed mounted?
Yes — the iCON 30 Basic can be installed as a surface-mounted unit or recessed into the wall or ceiling for a more discreet finish.
What does the iris shutter do?
The iris shutter closes automatically when the fan is not running, preventing cold draughts from entering through the duct and reducing noise from wind.
Is this fan suitable for Zone 1?
No — the iCON 30 Basic is a 240V fan and cannot be installed in Zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower). For Zone 1 installations, please see the iCON 15 SELV (12V DC).
Can I add a decorative cover to this fan?
Yes — the Airflow iCON 30 Cover is available separately in a choice of colours to personalise your installation.
What ducting do I need?
The iCON 30 uses a 150mm spigot. We recommend the Airflow 150mm Venting Kit, available in cavity wall or flexible duct options.
