The Hotkey™ proximity sensor activates the boiling function hands-free when you approach with a pan or kettle, and the 360° thermally insulated spout rotates freely for maximum flexibility. The Proboil.4E 4-litre under-sink boiler and filter system is included. Available in Matt White, Matt Black, and Scandi Grey.

How Hotkey™ Works
The Hotkey™ proximity sensor detects when you approach with a pan or kettle and activates the boiling water function hands-free — no need to press a button when your hands are full or wet. For safety, the boiling function requires deliberate proximity activation and will not dispense accidentally. Without the Hotkey™ active, the tap operates as a standard 3-way mixer (hot, cold, filtered) only.

What finishes are available?
Matt White (PT1043), Matt Black (PT1044), and Scandi Grey (PT1045). Select your preferred finish from the dropdown above. All three finishes are priced identically and include the same Proboil.4E boiler system.
What are the 4 water functions?
Hot — standard domestic hot water from your boiler. Cold — standard mains cold water. Filtered ambient — mains cold water passed through the integrated filter for pure, great-tasting drinking water. Boiling — instant water at 80–98°C from the Proboil.4E tank, activated via the Hotkey™ proximity sensor.
How does the Hotkey™ work safely?
The proximity sensor requires deliberate activation — you must approach the spout with a vessel to trigger the boiling function. It will not dispense accidentally. The thermally insulated spout means the exterior remains safe to touch even when dispensing boiling water. Without the Hotkey™ active, the tap functions as a standard 3-way mixer only.
What is the difference between the Scandi-E and the Profile?
Both use the Proboil.4E boiler and deliver the same 4-in-1 water functions. The key differences are design and safety activation: the Scandi-E has a bold wide-base Scandinavian aesthetic (153mm base) with a single Hotkey™ proximity sensor, available in Matt White, Matt Black, and Scandi Grey. The Profile has a more traditional monobloc form with a dual Hotkey™ system (two keys required simultaneously), available in Chrome.
Is the boiling water truly boiling?
The Proboil.4E delivers water at 80–98°C — hot enough for tea, coffee, instant noodles, and blanching vegetables. The temperature is adjustable within this range. At 98°C it is effectively at boiling point for most practical purposes.
What under-sink space is required?
The Proboil.4E tank requires adequate under-sink space for the boiler unit, along with access to a 230V power supply. Ensure you have sufficient clearance before ordering. If you’re unsure, call us on 01603 381095.
Does it require a plumber and electrician to install?
Yes — the tap requires standard plumbing connections and the boiler unit requires a 230V electrical connection under the sink. Professional installation by a qualified plumber and electrician is strongly recommended.
